Advanced Off-Road Driver Training
Our Advanced courses take a deeper dive into off-roading knowledge and skillsets. This full day course includes additional time behind the wheel where students tackle multiple off-road environments. A comprehensive overview of recovery techniques and hands on demonstrations of recovery equipment are followed by real life recovery scenarios.
Our Advanced Off-Road Driver Training course covers:
- Terrain handling in sand, rocks, loose gravel, mud and water crossings
- Recovery techniques including MIRE assessments, use of sand and bridging ladders, snatch recovery, winching and self-recovery
- Tire management including airing down and basic tire repairs
- Vehicle preservation and basic trail side repairs
- Navigation systems overview including building routes and trails, recording routes and pace of travel estimations
- Post trip inspections and processes
